The much-awaited signing of Antony from Ajax is finally over. United have got their man, and Ten Hag will be delighted to be reunited with his star man from Ajax.

Antony brings pace, flair, a wicked left foot and a bag of tricks. The manager now has the task of integrating Antony into the squad as the team looks to build on the momentum in the league.

Being a left-footed right winger, the expectation is that he’ll go straight into that position in the lineup. United have lacked a player of this profile since time immemorial and Antony’s addition will add excitement amongst United fans.

He has shown previously how adept he is at beating his man on the wing, cutting in and letting fly. All his 14 goals last season (across club and country) were very sweetly struck.

Analysts and statisticians of the Ekbet sports betting platform predict more than 10 goals for Manchester United new comer.

He seems to have a knack for shooting the ball around defenders and into the corner of the net. With Martial’s injury concerns, the ideal front three would be Sancho – Rashford – Antony with Elanga, Martial, Ronaldo and Garnacho acting as deputies.

United fans will be licking their lips at Antony running down the touchline and bamboozling defenders at Old Trafford. However, they should keep their expectations tempered, having previously been burned badly by the Memphis Depay stint.

Ten Hag will hope to have Antony fit and ready for Arsenal’s trip to Manchester later in the week. Read this article we had done two years back to get an insight into Antony’s journey in the football world.
