Playing baccarat is fun and exciting game for players. They have its pros and cons of betting for our hand, the banker’s hand and betting on a tie. But simply knowing is never enough to win in this game. It applies to any game, whether in a group for Baccarat PH or for professional players. Below are some strategies and theories to make our chances of winning tilt more in our favours.

The Fibonacci Strategy

The Fibonacci baccarat strategy determines the amount of bet after a loss in a sequence. It is a natural number sequence where the next number in a progression is the sum of the previous two numbers.

The sequence looks like this: 1, 2, 3, 5, 8, 13, 21, 34, 55, etc.

The gist of this strategy is for every bet that you lose you should increase that loss into your next wager. The system assumes the theory of mean revision is true

The idea here is if you keep making a bigger bet in spite of your losses, you end up winning back your last 2 losing bets at some point.

A con for this type of system is losing multiple times can rack up to a substantial loss until you win once refilling your pot instantaneously.

Martingale System

The Martingale system uses the theory of mean revision for asset prices and historical returns. It reverts to the long term mean or average.

The gist of this is, a particular hand is bound to win at some point. For example, if you place a bet on a dollar and it loses, then you should bet 2 dollars on the same hand. And if that loses you bet 4 dollars on the next with the same hand until you win.

When you win, this means you have already had returns on your initial investment. You can start on the 1 dollar bet again and continue the same process as before.

The disadvantage here is you need to bet way too many times to win a decent amount of money.

Paroli System

Sometimes referred to as the reverse Martingale system. This is a form of positive betting  as you double your bet every time you win until you lose.

The core objective of this system is to gain 3 wins in a row, going back to your original bet every time you lose. And this goes on until you lose or win 3 times in a row and then the circle begins again.

D’Alembert System

This strategy is a positive progressive system but cushions you from making steep losses. All while recouping lost bets.

First you should choose your base unit, then for every bet you lose you increase your wager by 1.

If you win, keep on betting with your base unit.

This strategy hinges on the principle that loses and wins are going to eventually even out on their own.

In Conclusion

These are some of the strategies you can try out on your next few games. Strategies that maximise your winnings and keep your losses to a minimum. Try all of them out and stick with a strategy that best suits your playstyle.
