The new season 2022/23 will kick off with Crystal Palace vs. Arsenal on Friday, August 5. New-Promoted Teams 

Championship winners Fulham will begin their EPL campaign at home to Liverpool on August 6. It will be a tough test, but if they can get something from the match, it will give them a boost for their upcoming matches. On the other hand, the newly-promoted Bournemouth will host Aston Villa, and Nottingham Forest will take on Newcastle United. Forest will be looking forward to their first match in the EPL since 1999.

Pep vs. Klopp

Liverpool vs. Manchester United

Last season Liverpool crushed their bitter rivals, The Red Devils, a 9-1 aggregate, and their fans will be hoping they can replicate their performances this season. The two bitter rivals will lock horns on August 20 before heading to Everton for the Merseyside derby on September 3.

On the other hand, the Manchester derbies and north London derbies will happen on the same weekends of October 1 and January 14. Manchester City and Arsenal will play host in the first meetings.

A Unique Break

The EPL will also take a break after November 12/13, for the first time as all eyes shift to the World Cup in Qatar. The season will restart on Boxing Day, eight days after the World Cup final. There will be no games between Boxing Day and New Year’s Eve. However, after playing their final matches of 2022, teams will be back in action on January 2, with Chelsea hosting Manchester City in an exciting match at the start of 2023.
