Juventus have agreed on a fee to sign the Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Blaise Matuidi for £18.2m plus add-ons. The French international is one of PSG’s longest serving players but has been allowed to leave during a summer of upheaval at the Ligue 1 club.
Juventus have now added 10 players to their roster this summer as Massimiliano Allegri looks to strengthen his squad to put in a a concrete title defense. Matuidi will add pace, guile, defensive awareness and an overall aggressive outlook to the Juventus side.
Allegri is doing all he can to win back some of the Juve faithful after his fallout with Bonucci earlier this year. Matuidi will go a long way in bringing stability to their side and the manager hopes that he gets all the support he can from fans.
Matuidi struck a few poses for photographers before making his way into the terminal where he will later undergo a medical today and sign a 3 year contract.
